- 13.7 Billion BC: (Planck Epoch): When a prior universe begins to collapse into a singularity, it's inherent sentience ("Eternity") merges with the space-traveling Galen of Taa *Thanos 3 , and when the universal balance (the "Living Tribunal") initiates the Big Bang of this universe, Galen and Eternity (and possibly the entity "Death") are reborn into this one. Galen remains in an incubator for millennia, developing into the planet-devouring being one day to be known as Galactus (Thor 169).
- The fire demon Surtur (possibly the first living being native to the Nine Worlds) rules in Muspelheim. Ymir, the first ice giant, rules Niffelheim. Ymir’s cow helps bring about the creation of Buri, the first “Norse God”. Buri bears Bor, who weds the frost giant Bestia and bears him 3 sons: Vili, Ve & Odin. These 3 battle and slay Ymir. (JiM 97-99, Thor Annual 5). Afterwards they create Asgard, one of the Nine Worlds (above accounts from Asgardian records). The Nine Worlds are:
- Asgard (including Valhalla, home of the Valkyries)
- Muspelheim (Surtur’s dimension)
- Niffelheim (Ymir’s dimension)
- Midgard (Earth)
- Vanaheim (home of the Vanir, connected to Asgard)
- Alfheim (home of the Light Elves, connected to Asgard)
- Svartelheim (home of the Dark Elves, led by Malekith the Accursed)
- Jotunheim (home of the Ice/Frost Giants, ruled by the storm giant Laufey)
- Hel (Land of the Dead, ruled by Hela)
- Odin, Vili & Ve attack Surtur in Muspelheim, breaking his end-times sword and stealing the Eternal Flame of Destruction. Vili and Ve stay behind in Muspelheim to seal the passage to Asgard and when they fall, their power flows to Odin, creating the Odin-Power (Thor 349).
- 8 Billion BC: The entity Eon appears (Captain Marvel 29).
- The alien Space-Gods, the Celestials appear (Eternals 1, time approx.).
- Ego, the Living Planet, attains consciousness (Fantastic Four 235, time approx.). Later in his debilitated mental state, Ego would falsely claim that he had been a scientist named Egros who had merged with his planet's core (containing his race's hibernating population) when their sun went nova (Thor 228).
- Rise of the Elders of the Universe, various survivors of ancient dead civilizations. These include the Collector, the Grandmaster, the Gardener, and others.
- Rise of the Watchers. The Watchers, led by Uatu and his father Ikor, give the Prosilicans the gift of atomic power. The Prosilicans, lacking maturity, destroy themselves with the dangerous new technology. The Watchers vow never to interfere with other races again (Tales of Suspense 53/Silver Surfer 1).
- Galactus emerges from his incubator, while the Watcher Ecce does nothing (Thor 169). Centuries later Galactus completes his transformation and consumes Archeopia. The surviving Archeopians become the Wanderers (Thor 162).
- 3 Billion BC: Earth is formed. Eventually a sentient life-force named the Demiurge comes into being, and it creates the Elder Gods, including Chthon, Gaea, Set, etc...(Thor Ann 10).
- The Celestials initiate the birth of the Skrulls and the Kree, among other races.
- Skrull Empire begins
- The Kree live as barbarians on Hala, sharing the planet with the telepathic Cotati. The peaceful Skrulls arrive, led by Emperor Dorrek, and challenge both the Kree and the Cotati to create something wondrous. The Kree erect a great city, a "blue area" on the Earth's moon, while the Cotati create a garden on a different planet. The Kree believe that the Cotati will win the challenge so they massacre the Cotati on Hala and the Skrulls stationed there. They learn advanced technology from the Skrulls' remaining ships and develop into the war-like Kree Empire. They eventually attack the Skrull Empire, causing the Skrulls to develop war-like tendencies as well. The Kree-Skrull Conflict continues for over a million years (Avengers 133, Captain Marvel 38).
- The Skrulls create a Cosmic Cube which, under the influence of the Skrull Emperor, devastates large swaths of the Skrull Empire. Eventually the Skrull Cosmic Cube attains sentience and freedom as the Shaper of Worlds. The Kree create the Supreme Intelligence so that they can also have a Cosmic Cube but it refuses after seeing the work of the Skrull Cube (Captain America Annual 7). The Supreme Intelligence eventually takes over the Kree Empire.
- A deviant branch of Skrull-kind prone towards sorcery breaks off from the Skrull empire and establishes a home base in the Dark Nebula (ROM 50).
- 476 years after the beginning of the Kree Empire, the Kree pacifist group, the Priests of Pama, ally with surviving Cotati on the Kree homeworld. 100 years later the Priests of Pama are exiled by the Supreme Intelligence but eventually create a base on Earth, bringing some Cotati (Avengers 134).
- 248 Million BC: Massive Extinction Event kills 95 percent of all life on Earth. Remaining reptiles develop into dinosaurs.
- The alien Nuwali establish a tropical game preserve in the Antarctic (later known as the Savage Land) on behalf of the other-dimensional Beyonders and stock it with both dinosaurs and mammals (Ka-Zar the Savage 34).
- 65 Million BC: Prince Wayfinder returns from 80 Million AD with the Sword in the Star (Marvel Preview 4, 7). When assailed by demons, the Sword leads Wayfinder and his people into the Microverse and uses the Enigma Force to bind the demons in Deadzone (Micronauts 31, 35). A second Extinction Event kills 40 percent of all life on Earth, including dinosaurs and other large animals.
- 1 Million BC: On Earth, the Elder God Set creates the Serpent Men (MTU Ann. 5, Savage Sword of Conan 192?).
- The Elder God Gaea unites with the Demiurge to give birth to Atum, the first New God. Atum consumes the savage Elder Gods and is turned into Demogorge, The God-Eater. All other gods are driven off the Earth dimension, except for Gaea (Thor Ann 10, MTU Ann 5). Chthon is also exiled, but writes the Book of Darkhold to be used as a future gateway back (Avengers 187, Thor Ann 10). The Demogorge regurgitates the energies of the Elder Gods into the Heavens and flies into the Sun. Eons later, these energies are transmuted into the Gods of men (some accounts include the Asgardians as one of the new god races, despite the Asgardians' own legends) (Thor Ann 10). Mephisto is born from the transmuted energies of the Elder Gods.
- The First Host of the Celestials land on Earth. The Celestials alter an ape's genetic material to create humans, Eternals and Deviants (Eternals 1, 7, What If 23). Possibly they also implant the Earth with a Celestial “embryo” (Earth X).
- Odin of Asgard visits Earth and has a son, Thor, with Jord (the Elder God Gaea/Mother Earth). Odin returns to Asgard with Thor, and Odin's wife, Frigga, raises him as her own (Thor 301, Thor Annual 11). Later Odin defeats the giants of Jotunheim and adopts Loki, son of the slain Storm Giant Laufey (JiM 112).
- Thor journeys to Hel to save the life of Balder's sister, the Lady Sif. He offers his life to Hela the Goddess of Death in exchange for Sif's. For this act of self-sacrifice Hela releases them both, and Thor finally becomes worthy to wield the enchanted mallet Mjolnir (JiM 102, Thor Annual 11). Jealous Loki secretly aids the evil giant Ghan, earning his allegiance (JiM 115).
- The Undying Ones, cruel mystic beings from another dimension, are led to Earth's domain by their leader, the Nameless One, and terrorize the Earth for eons (Sub-Mariner 22).
- When his sun goes nova prematurely, the scientist Egros merges with his hibernating race and planetary core and becomes Ego the Living Planet (Thor 228, but actually contested as false by OHOTMU).
